SONORES is a trio based on the west coast of Sweden as well as the west coast of the United States of America. They play deconstructed Swedish psych rock, based around tape collages and sample techniques rather than classic rock instrumentation. “DANCE” is their first album in 13 years, recorded in their own studio in Gothenburg, Sweden. It straddles the previously unexplored line between oddly dense and dark foundations and light vocal pop sensibilities.

Recorded at Sonores Studios, Gothenburg, between January 2014 and August 2016 both analog (Otari MTR-90, 16 tracks) and digital (Lynx Aurora 16, Pro Tools) using a Soundtracs CM 4400 32ch console. Recorded by Jonas Odhner, Oskar Karlström and Dan Olsson. Vocals recorded at Viktor’s place, Escondido by Viktor Sjöberg. Field recording on ’Dance of a dying breed’ recorded by Viktor Sjöberg in Escondido. Field recording on ’Earl’ recorded by Jonas Odhner in Torslanda. Mixed at Sonores Studios, Gothenburg between August 2016 and January 2017 by Jonas Odhner, Oskar Karlström and Dan Olsson. Mastered at Dubplates, Berlin October 2017 by Mr. Rashad Becker.
